The Clarkson Inn is a charming boutique hotel in a Victorian setting on the bank of the Raquette River. Created and maintained by true artisans for many years, this lovely hotel has been since its first opening, servicing the needs of the most distinguished travelers with its impeccable and beautifully furnished guest rooms, its encompassing attention to details and its genuine hospitality.

The Clarkson Inn is a very charming boutique hotel located on the bank of the Raquette River. Our spacious 338-square-foot rooms offer thoughtful touches that will make you feel comfortable and at home during your stay.

Rich in History

Potsdam, N.Y., was settled along the Raquette River in 1802 and is an area rich in history. The village offers a variety of boutique shops and numerous dining options to suit any taste palette.

Always Something To Do

Whether you you like to listen to beautiful music, hike, golf, fish or ski you can always find something to do nearby. Potsdam and the surrounding area has it all and much more for you to explore during your stay.

Prepare Your Palette for a Treat

The English room is open seven days a week, serving breakfast, room service, and tea time (Friday & Saturday).

For dinner, which is in process, The English Room, will offer an elegant dining atmosphere, in a Victorian setting, delivering an outstanding level of service. Items from our traditional French menu are prepared and cooked table-side by our culinary chefs. Dinner will be open soon, Monday to Sunday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Reservations required. At the present time, several neighborhood restaurants are accommodating our guests for dinner.

Our location is what makes us special. We are located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains which provides lovely views and numerous outdoor activities for any enthusiast.

There are numerous routes you can take to get to the Inn that will show you some of the amazing scenery that the Adirondacks are known for. For those traveling to Potsdam by air a number of cities in the U.S. and Canada offer options through a variety of air carriers.
